Legal takeover and Dismantling of the WT Possible?
by Pathofthorns inthe events of the last couple weeks with regard to the un scandal got me thinking that the time climate is increasingly right for the legal takeover and dismantling of the wt.. i know that is a crazy thought, but could it somehow be possible?
now that the gb resigned from their posts, could a rutherford-style takeover happen?.
the un scandal signifies utter betrayal of the membership.

Hi JT,
You're missing one very important point.
In order for the Borg to make the congo's responsible legally, they have to be separated, just like in the old 'Ecclesia' days when Bible Student spin-offs happened with every WTS policy change.
If any plaintif in court can prove the Big Shots still own the farm, they also can get sued. Watch out when the bros figure out that momma's hand is off their backs. If the local bros have legal title and the congo votes out the WTS, they are on their own.
I think that the Borg are counting on keeping up the publishing for the congos and will gradually branch out. This is what the SBC does with Lifeway, which supplies all kinds of media for ANY church that will pay for it.
Take Care Old "1",

My past weekend
by Leander insaturday afternoon i made the decision to step down as a minsterial servant.
i had given it a lot of thought and i came to the conclusion that i would be doing the right thing.
i told my wife about the decision i had planned on making and that basically killed her mood for the rest of the day.

Leander,
I was right where you are about three years ago. Feel free to e-mail me if you ever want to talk. I also asked God to direct me to 'truth'. I didn't like what I found out at first and it's been a long road with lots of turns. My wife and two sons all left together and we eventually joined a S. Baptist Congregation. You may have heard of Paul Blizzard, who pastors a SBC church. Lots of ex-dubs end up in REAL Christianity and saved. Lots end up in no religion too.
Youmight try joining [email protected]. I know you will get a non-proseltyzing style of Christian input for you to think about.
My prayers are with you and yours. If you want, send me a name for your family to be on our prayer list.

Hi Randy,
>And when left with no choice but to fight and wage war, we need to resist the temptation to view our enemies as less than human--as germs or vermin--lest we find ourselves one day looking into the mirror and realizing that we have found the fanatics, and they are us.That is a great analogy and this essay has a lot of truth in it. There is one thing in Christianity that is so important and really separates the fanatics/cultists from the orthodox....
That is the doctrine of love: "By this you shall know them, by their love, as I have loved you, You shall have love, one to another"; "love your neighbor as you love yourself"; "love your Lord God Almighty with your whole being"; "love your enemies".
We are to let God do the judging of souls. Our common call is to evangelize, baptize and make disciples who are molded by God into a more Christ-like person whose good works show this love for others.
Salvation is by grace through faith yet we are admonished to show evidence of this by our good works.
I have been studying James (along with John 15) for the last few weeks and this book is having a profound effect on me in my spirituality. I think that I have had another breakthrough in my development.
May God bless you,

Dear Puff,
Thanks so much for sharing your testimony. All of us have family who would fit some of your descriptions.Hi Shelby,
You said:
Dearest 'Puff'... may you have peace... and may I say that you MUST have felt 'good' writing this, because I TRULY felt good reading it. I laughed a lot, and felt sad over a great many things as well.
I have no thoughts or opinions other than to say that hypocrites... are hypocrites. Period.
Peace to you! A slave of Christ,
SJWhat do you call a person who calls themselves, "a slave of Christ", yet mocks scripture by claiming to receive "divine revelations" that does not line up with scripture?
Isn't that rather evil and doesn't God promise harsher punishment for those who teach their own ideas as gospel?
Cheers,

>Probably the same place Walter Martin got his from the back of a cereal box
Who wrote the definitive book on cults, exposing your hero and his subsequent cronies for their heresies. Those who teach the flock will suffer greater punishment than those they lead to the pit.
Ron Rhodes, Jeff Schwenn and Hank Hannegraf continue the tradition in fine fashion and you are stuck with a man who died in 1916, disgraced and discredited.

I am continued to be amazed at your stunning intelectual abilities....
BTW, Thomas, J92, Bibleman has come completely unhinged over at "New Salem". Him and Watchman (Gauldof is his screen name)) have been doing a "dueling messiahs" battle with Jason and Dproper (from h2o) in Watchman's corner. Check out this url:
http://members2.boardhost.com/NewSalem/msg/2093.html
It begins with:
I have to accept I must be the Messiah
Posted by Yeshua on 10/15/2001, 3:24 am
172.138.13.39"ou know, I was just thinking how incredible all this is and sometimes I wonder if I'm dreaming, just for a split second, and I wonder if I'm really the Messiah because things are so subtle in the JIOR.
But then I did hear the voice that said "this is my son, I have approved him." And I did see those images in the clouds which were supposed to happen. And I did think I was led by holy spirit to see all the things that happened, including jumping into a comerical trash dumpster.
Plus I can't accept it was accidental that the trashmen actually dumped me into the trash and then attempted to cruch me with the giant compactor. That took some planning. It was all set up in advance. Yet a sheep silent before slaughter is what had to be fulfilled by the Ethiopian eunuch who was reading that passage."That is only the beginning.

C. T. Russell Must Be Rolling In His Grave
by KD inyears ago i remember reading an old book about the life of charles t. russell.
as a young man, russell was indignant with the major churches and at night used to write scornful letters and placed them on the buildings for the public to see.
he used harsh phrases such as "off spring of vipers" and "harlots".

Hi Larc,
Me and Rollo go back a few years ago. I was on his bible student forum at e-groups and he promptly banned me when I started posting little tidbits (with links), about the scam artist that he so admires....
I know that the info was valid, most of it was from Alan F. research (I checked it with other sources) and I have to give him a "A" for accuracy. Rollo didn't like to see his idol exposed for the charlatan he was, so I was given the boot. He also has great disdain for the Free Bible Student groups who recognize the lunacy of basing a theology solely around pyramids and Pleiades, as well as the much trashed 'Studies in Scriptures".
Rollo likes to paint Russell as superior to Rutherford but one lying 'miracle wheat seller' is as bad as the next megolamaniac.
Hey, if not for Russell and his shenanigans NONE of us would be having this conversation today!

1. If Carr loves the JW works, why doesn't he take on the real scholars?
2. Even the KIT disputes the NWT in it's text!Rex
